My truck was stolen from a parking lot in North Vancouver on June 5, 2001, around 13:30h. It was recovered by the Vancouver Police within an hour of me reporting it, with two males inside. The North Vancouver RCMP phoned me to see if I knew them; I did not. The police said their names were SCOTT JONES and STEVEN ALCORN. My friend Niki's 1987 4Runner was stolen from Abbotsford on March 23, 2004, around 04:30h. It was recovered a week later in Pitt Meadows, where TROY MALAKOFF was arrested. Niki took the stand in court and Malakoff pleaded guilty to possesion of stolen property over $5000. Fortunately, the only damage was broken interior pieces (not to mention the stress and inconvenience of knowing that some rat bastard was driving the vehicle you worked hard for).
